Participants in this workshop will actively engage the history and meaning of Dia de los Muertos in this writing workshop led by Dr. Raul A. Ramos of the UH Department of History. The first half-hour will be dedicated to the roots and practices of the tradition in Mexican culture. Participants will personally connect to the tradition through a writing exercise. We will then share the products and impact of publicly presenting personal memories.
