Don’t be late for a very important date! Jump down the rabbit hole and dance the night away at this year’s Children’s Museum of Houston “Mad Hatter’s Ball” gala. Event chairs Elva and Truett Akin and Monica and Greg Meeks will play host to a whimsical gala in hopes of further developing the Museum’s educational and outreach programs. The event is underwritten by co-chairs Caroline and John Harrell and Lyndsey and Bret Zorich.

Join the Museum through the looking glass and onto the dancefloor to groove to the tunes of Skyrocket presented by J&D Entertainment! Don’t miss out on the wine pull as Jackson & Company will provide a delicious multi-course meal.

AUCTIONS AND CARTIER WATCH RAFFLE

The live and big board auctions will be led by auction chair Kelly Sklar. Bid on exclusive packages, including a five-night getaway at The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa in Phucket, Thailand and tickets to the 59th Annual Grammy’s. Other exquisite items include an Astros First Pitch Experience which includes batting practice, a signed jersey and Diamond Level tickets, tickets to NYC Fashion Week, Houston Texans Road Game Experience, five nights at The Westin Snowmass in Snowmass, CO, and lunch for 20 at Neiman Marcus inclusive of 20 pairs of Kendall and Kylie sunglasses!

You could win a Cartier watch for only $50! The Children’s Museum of Houston is raffling off an exquisite Ballon Bleu 36mm stainless steel Cartier watch valued at $6,050.

The raffle will benefit the Museum’s fundraising efforts for outreach programming. The lucky winner of the Cartier watch will be announced during this year’s “Mad Hatter’s Ball” gala. Raffle tickets are on sale now for only $50 each.

This past year, the Museum welcomed more than 810,000 on-site visitors and impacted more than 344,000 children and parents through outreach programming. For the last 25 years, the annual gala has made it possible for the Museum to prepare children to be successful in school and to instill confidence in lifelong learning. With your generosity and support, the Museum hope to continue to fulfill the mission of transforming communities through innovative child-centered learning.

  • Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Sunday, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
    Closed Mondays. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday.  
  • General Admission: $17 per person and $16 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.
